Role Overview

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will collaborate with both business and technical stakeholders to comprehend needs, gather and document requirements, and aid in implementing ICT solutions. Your tasks include facilitating workshops, analyzing processes and identifying gaps, preparing business cases, and drafting functional specifications. You will act as a key liaison bridging business and IT teams, supporting Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and contributing to large technology transformation programs.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Engage stakeholders and facilitate workshops to gather information and drive consensus.
  • Perform detailed business and technical requirements elicitation and documentation.
  • Conduct process and gap analysis to identify improvements and solution impacts.
  • Develop business cases and functional documentation supporting project delivery.
  • Support integration projects involving complex system interdependencies.
  • Contribute to both Agile and Waterfall project management practices.
  • Assist in implementing new capabilities and services as part of technology transformations.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Substantial experience as a Senior Business Analyst managing complex ICT programs.
  • Proven background in the Higher Education sector with deep understanding of university business processes and systems.
  • Hands-on experience with off-the-shelf (COTS/SaaS) product implementations, including robust system integrations such as Student Management Systems, HR platforms, ServiceNow, CRM, or related enterprise software.
  • Expertise in integration-centric projects, collaborating closely with technical teams to define requirements and oversee dependencies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, workshop facilitation, and communication capabilities.
  • Skillful in analyzing and documenting comprehensive business and technical requirements.
  • Experience composing business cases, process maps, functional specifications, and other essential project documentation.
  • Capability to work effectively across both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
  • Strong analytical aptitude with the ability to simplify complex technical topics into business terms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Relevant certifications in Business Analysis (like IIBA, CBAP, or CAP) are highly advantageous.
