Role Summary
This position is for a Salesforce Administrator who will own day-to-day administration of the Salesforce.com environment. The role involves system support, audits, data integration oversight, requirement gathering, coordination with multiple teams, and support for development and change management efforts. You will also help train users and expand Salesforce knowledge across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the Salesforce.com platform as the main system administrator.
- Manage routine administrative tasks such as user setup and maintenance, reports, dashboards, workflows, and similar activities.
- Perform regular internal audits of the system and prepare for Salesforce version updates.
- Oversee Salesforce data feeds and integrations with connected systems.
- Review, prioritize, and help complete incoming development requests.
- Work with the institutional management team to define processes that support administration, development, and change management.
- Support onboarding and training for new users and contribute to strengthening Salesforce skills within the organization.
- Serve as the communication bridge between end users, vendors, and application development teams.
- Independently and collaboratively gather, clarify, and document development requirements.
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate should be able to manage deadlines, balance multiple requests, and work across different organizational levels. Strong analytical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving ability are important, along with clear verbal and written communication skills. The role also requires the ability to understand how new requirements may affect Salesforce and related upstream or downstream systems and processes.
Applicants should have at least 2 years of experience as a Salesforce.com administrator. ADM201 and ADM211 certification is preferred, and additional Salesforce certifications in Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Developer are also preferred. Candidates should have a solid grasp of Salesforce platform features, including custom apps, objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other intermediate-level configurations. A strong understanding of Salesforce best practices, data management, project delivery, requirement analysis, and user adoption is expected. Prior work in SCRUM or an agile environment is preferred.
