Policy Analyst

Position Overview

Harvey Nash USA is seeking an experienced Policy Analyst for a 12-month contract supporting an active Public Policy team at a leading global e-commerce enterprise. This fully remote role is based in the New York City Metropolitan Area and focused on analyzing worldwide policy trends to generate actionable business insights.

Core Responsibilities

• Continuously track and assess political, legislative, and regulatory changes in international markets.
• Conduct thorough research and clarify intricate policy and regulatory material.
• Evaluate how policy developments may affect strategic business objectives.
• Create detailed policy briefings, reports, and updates tailored for senior executives.
• Work collaboratively with diverse internal teams to integrate policy intelligence with organizational priorities.
• Assist with policy tracking frameworks, reporting processes, and leveraging AI-aided research technologies.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Between two and three years of professional tenure in public policy, regulatory affairs, government relations, consulting, or related disciplines.
• Strong analytical capabilities to interpret and simplify complex regulatory landscapes.
• Experienced in monitoring legislative and policy movements.
• Competent at drafting clear and concise written analyses, grounded in detailed evidence.
• Excellent attention to detail with capacity to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Additional Valuable Experience

• Familiarity with policy surveillance software, databases, and research platforms.
• Knowledge of artificial intelligence tools supporting policy research and analysis.
• Background in transparency reporting or compliance-focused initiatives.
• Understanding of global regulatory frameworks and technology policy trends.

Education

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated hourly compensation range for this W2 contract role is $25 to $30. Additional benefits include a 401(k) retirement plan featuring a 10% company match on all contributions, as well as access to a Roth 401(k), applicable to employees 21 years or older who have completed three months of service.
