Job description
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Oracle EBS Functional Specialist to join our team based in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. This role requires a detail-focused individual to act as the key link between business needs and Oracle E-Business Suite R12 systems, enhancing end-to-end supply chain activities across Procurement, Supplier Management, and Warehousing.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the Oracle EBS R12 modules: Purchasing, iProcurement, Inventory Management, Work in Progress, and Bill of Materials as the subject matter expert.
- Improve warehousing processes, including inventory movements, sub-inventory configuration, cycle counting, material handling, and transaction accuracy within the system.
- Work alongside Procurement and Warehouse leadership to gather business requirements and translate them into detailed functional specifications for IT teams.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing by preparing test scripts and assist during system upgrades, patches, and new module rollouts.
- Offer advanced functional support (Tier 2/3) for resolving procurement, warehouse, material planning, and manufacturing issues.
- Create documentation and conduct training sessions to promote user proficiency and correct system application.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven expertise with Oracle EBS R12, especially integrations between Purchasing, Supplier Management, and Inventory modules.
- In-depth understanding of procurement processes including requisitions, purchase orders, blanket agreements, and approval workflows.
- Knowledge of supplier lifecycle management such as registration, site creation, and purchase order management.
- Experience with supply chain and warehouse management: inventory controls, shipping/receiving, planning, and cycle counting.
- Australian citizenship with the ability and willingness to obtain AGSVA security clearance.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Excellent communication to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical capabilities for investigating data discrepancies, including purchase order and receipts reconciliation.
- Experience with Oracle Warehouse Management System and Procurement modules.
- Competency in SQL/PLSQL for complex data queries and troubleshooting.
- Background in a manufacturing or maintenance setting.
- Prior involvement in Oracle implementations, upgrades or significant enhancements projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.
