Network Officer

Job Responsibilities

The role involves delivering technical assistance to end users and effectively troubleshooting hardware and software issues. This includes installing and configuring computers, printers, and related technical peripherals. Maintaining operating systems and Office applications, handling support requests from initiation through resolution, and diagnosing technical problems for timely and efficient solutions are key responsibilities.

Additional duties include managing user accounts with appropriate system access permissions, providing foundational support for network and internet connectivity issues, and installing or updating software security applications including antivirus solutions. The officer will assist in data backup and recovery processes as necessary.

Preparation and deployment of IT equipment for new hires, transferred employees, or those ending their service, along with monitoring device performance and system readiness, is expected. Documenting recurring technical issues, solutions, and operational procedures, coordinating with external vendors and service providers, managing IT asset inventories, and ensuring adherence to information security and data protection policies are also essential tasks.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field
• At least 2 years of practical experience in technical support
• Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of computers and printers
• Basic knowledge of computer networks
• Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
