Platform Operations Lead

Core Responsibilities

• Drive the alignment and execution of IT strategies in support of the organization's overall business goals.
• Ensure business needs are met through efficient management of network equipment, software, and hardware services.
• Participate in strategic technology planning to leverage high-impact technologies and maintain competitive advantage.
• Contribute to setting annual technology objectives and formulating detailed plans to achieve them.
• Identify, integrate, and introduce emerging information technologies within the existing infrastructure to keep the company competitive.
• Coordinate the development, deployment, and enhancement of applications and software systems.
• Oversee application and system maintenance as well as the installation and upkeep of local area network hardware and software.
• Develop and enforce technology policies, standards, and procedures, providing documented guidance to teams.
• Ensure uninterrupted execution of mission-critical operations, and participate in planning and controlling IT system operations.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation among IT professionals, leading teams towards operational excellence.

• Developing leadership abilities in managing IT specialist teams.
• Skilled in client engagement with capability to address varied stakeholder groups through presentations.
• Proactive, self-motivated with excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Methodical thinker with a solid understanding of project management methodologies.
• Sound judgment and logical reasoning with a positive and proactive approach.
• In-depth knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, data storage, databases, and telephony systems.
• Critical thinker with effective decision-making abilities.
• Comprehensive understanding of network architecture and client/server technologies.

Education and Certifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related disciplines.
• Certifications such as ITIL, Service Management, or Scaled Agile are advantageous.

Experience Requirements

• Extensive experience in IT operations, ideally within a global IT services context.
• Moderate experience leading and managing IT expert teams.
• Practical experience working in Agile teams utilizing Agile methodologies.
• Beneficial to have experience in project management, technical support, systems programming, or computer operations.

Work Environment

This is an on-site position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
