Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated General Labourer to serve as a Cleanout Specialist. This hands-on role involves assisting Vacuum Truck Operators in performing cleanout tasks safely and efficiently at wastewater facilities and related sites. You'll gain valuable experience while contributing to important environmental efforts.
Key Duties
- Assist in preparing job sites by setting up vacuum hoses, pumps, and necessary safety equipment.
- Clean confined spaces such as wastewater holding tanks, pump stations, and processing tanks.
- Support supervisors by completing essential documentation including Confined Space Entry Permits and Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports.
- Operate company pickup trucks and safety trailers to various job locations across Ontario, including overnight and out-of-town assignments with provided paid accommodations.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment continuously.
- Perform duties in tight, dusty, wet, or noisy conditions and confined spaces.
- Work extended shifts during peak seasons, participate in on-call rotations for emergency responses, and adapt to variable schedules including night shifts.
- Work year-round in indoor and outdoor conditions.
Candidate Profile
- Possession of a valid G or G2 driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform minor mechanical repairs.
- Experience with Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry and Rescue, and wastewater industry experience is considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and water pumps and related equipment is beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive starting wage of $22 per hour.
- Opportunity to earn between $60,000 and $80,000 annually including shift premiums and overtime.
- Full-time, year-round employment involving 50 to 60 hours per week.

- Overtime compensated after 44 working hours per week.
- $150 boot allowance awarded after one year of service.
