Program Overview
This rotational editorial program is designed to speed up the development of early-career editorial professionals through hands-on exposure to a wide range of projects, apprenticeship-style learning, and steadily increasing responsibility. The ideal candidate is motivated, resilient, practical, and eager to grow into a valuable long-term contributor to the editorial team and the wider direct-to-consumer lifestyle business.
As a full-time Editorial Assistant, you will rotate through several parts of the business, including Industry Relations, Licensing, Contracts & Operations, Book Selections, Member Experience initiatives, and Allurial, the company’s Romantasy-focused business. After roughly two years, successful participants may move into a more specialized role depending on business needs, individual performance, and the interests shown during the program.

Key Responsibilities
This role supports multiple editorial and cross-functional functions across the business.
- Support the Editorial Director by managing the calendar, preparing publisher-facing presentations, and helping run podcast-related operations.
- Assist with the book selection process by maintaining the book database, drafting editorial content, and analyzing book performance data.
- Handle editorial operations work such as preparing and executing licensing agreements, entering editorial materials into internal systems, and supporting hardcover and audiobook production tasks.
- Assist the Department of Cultural Arts & Sciences with cross-functional initiatives, including original print acquisition and Collections work.
- Contribute to Allurial editorial and marketing activities by evaluating books, supporting advertising and creative execution, and managing the influencer program.
- Own or support Member Experience projects, test and report on box rate and books-per-box improvements, and turn member insights into clear feedback for the team.

Compensation
The role offers a base salary of $70,000 per year.
Program Timeline
After around two years in the rotational program, participants may be considered for a more specialized position based on business needs, performance, and demonstrated interests.
