Role Overview

As a Caregiver in Galax, Virginia, you will support individuals in day-to-day living and encourage their independence, safety, and community participation. This position offers pay at $15 per hour.

Key Duties

• Provide hands-on support that helps individuals grow, learn, and live more independently.
• Build genuine, supportive relationships with the people you assist.
• Use good judgment and act with autonomy while following the needs of each participant.
• Encourage participation in community activities and preferred hobbies.
• Assist with developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Help participants with personal hygiene and daily care routines.
• Support individuals who may have behavioral challenges or more complex care needs.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Prior experience of six months in human services, direct care, or care coordination is preferred. A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance are also required.
