Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join a newly established Respite Service located in Arklow. This role provides an excellent chance to contribute positively by supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities during meaningful and quality short breaks within a safe and person-focused setting.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting individuals with their daily routines, personal care, participation in activities, community engagement, and overall wellbeing. Creating a respectful, secure, and enjoyable atmosphere tailored to each service user.
Candidate Profile
- Holder of FETAC/QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support, Health Service Skills, or an equivalent certification
- Genuine enthusiasm for assisting people with intellectual disabilities
- Effective communication skills coupled with strong teamwork abilities
- Adopts a flexible, positive, and person-centred mindset
- Possession of a full driving license and readiness to operate service vehicles
