Role Overview
We seek an ambitious and outcome-driven Partnerships Manager to contribute to our APAC region expansion efforts. As a vital member of the commercial team, you will develop, nurture, and escalate strategic partnerships in diverse markets. The perfect candidate excels in relationship cultivation and commercial insight while thriving in a dynamic, fast-evolving startup-like setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new merchant acquisition by identifying and converting high-value prospects across target markets and industries.
- Manage the entire sales process: from generating leads and outreach, through discovery and pitching, to negotiating deals, onboarding, integration, and launch.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified potential deals via market analysis, outbound efforts, networking, partner referrals, and commercial intelligence gathering.
- Comprehend client business models, payment requirements, expansion plans, and operational challenges to effectively position Onerway’s payment solutions.
- Collaborate with Product, Compliance, Legal, Operations, Finance, and Partnerships teams to develop customized solutions aligned with client needs.
- Create and present commercial proposals, pricing models, business cases, and sales collateral to secure client commitments and finalize agreements.
- Ensure accurate updates of pipeline, sales forecasts, and client interactions to support organizational planning and revenue tracking.
- Act as Onerway’s ambassador at industry-related events and forums to generate leads, enhance market presence, and amplify brand recognition.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of pertinent experience in fintech, payments, financial services, technology sectors, or fast-moving startups.
- Previous roles in business development, sales, account management, partnerships, or client success involving medium to large clientele management.
- Established connections with digital merchants (e.g., e-commerce, gaming, entertainment) or financial entities such as remittance operators, fintech startups, PSPs, and related payment firms is advantageous.
- Strong commercial awareness appreciating client revenue models, payment needs, pricing, and deal economics.
- Keen interest in payments and fintech with eagerness to build expertise in payment products, local payment options, integration workflows, settlements, foreign exchange, payouts, partner networks, compliance, and market standards.
- Highly self-motivated, resourceful, and equipped with a growth mindset to rapidly assimilate new industry knowledge, technical elements, and market trends.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities with talent for client engagement, trust-building, and effective collaboration across internal teams.
- Capable of operating independently and effectively within ambiguous, high-velocity growth environments.
- Proficient communication skills in both English and Mandarin languages.
- Willing to travel as business demands require.
