About the Role
Located in Adelaide CBD, this Senior Payroll Officer position is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity within a well-established national construction company featuring a stable finance function and a sizable workforce. The role includes end-to-end payroll processing for a large employee base using the Chris21 system. You'll join a collaborative and supportive environment that prioritizes accuracy, teamwork, and excellent customer service, alongside a highly regarded Payroll Manager and a dedicated team. Flexible working arrangements include options for working from home and flexible start and finish times.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complete payroll processing for a large national workforce.
- Ensure payroll is accurate, timely, and compliant with relevant legislation and awards.
- Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees and stakeholders efficiently.
- Process employment changes including new hires, terminations, leaves, and adjustments.
- Reconcile payroll data and assist with reporting needs.
- Maintain accurate employee records within the Chris21 payroll system.
- Support payroll compliance efforts, audit activities, and ongoing process enhancements.
- Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and operational teams across the organization.
Candidate Profile

Familiarity with Chris21 payroll software is highly valued and will enable a seamless transition.
