Quality Manager - Press Fabrication & Robotic Welding Plant

Overview

This role focuses on overseeing the complete quality management function within the Press Shop, Fabrication, Robotic Welding Lines, and Tubular Welded Assemblies sections, ensuring adherence to IATF 16949 standards. The position requires leadership in process audits, customer quality management, and driving continuous improvement initiatives through established methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and ensure quality compliance across press fabrication, robotic welding, and tubular assemblies processes.
• Lead process audits to uphold industry standards and customer requirements.
• Oversee customer quality management activities to maintain satisfaction and compliance.
• Utilize Root Cause Corrective and Preventive Actions (RC-CAPA) and problem-solving tools for issue resolution.
• Promote continuous improvement practices using Gemba, Kaizen, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) techniques.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Strong experience in press shop operations, fabrication processes, robotic welding systems, and tubular welded assemblies.
• Proficiency in quality tools such as 8D, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Why-Why Analysis, Fishbone Diagrams, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Design of Experiments (DOE).
• Thorough understanding of automotive quality standards including IATF 16949, PPAP, APQP, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), and calibration protocols.
