Role Overview
The Project Manager will oversee a portfolio of projects, ensuring that cost, timelines, and performance goals are met effectively. Acting as the trusted security advisor for clients, this position drives long-term system strategies and guarantees compliance with client-specific contractual obligations. Collaboration across cross-functional teams including Design and Sales is essential to provide comprehensive end-to-end service from pre-sales to aftercare.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a reliable advisor and escalation contact for the team and customers, proactively resolving obstacles.
- Build strong relationships with key customer decision makers to enhance company sales.
- Ensure total customer satisfaction throughout project lifecycle.
- Regularly monitor program progress and report to managers and stakeholders, addressing challenges timely.
- Delegate tasks within the team to fulfill project goals efficiently.
- Establish and maintain budgets and schedules aligned with program implementation.
- Develop evaluation guidelines to assess program effectiveness and pinpoint improvement areas.
- Manage all project plans and procedures to assure construction schedules and coordination meet high standards.
- Perform onsite visits, risk analysis, and safety assessments promoting professional and cost-efficient service delivery.
- Coordinate internal customer orders, procurement, and timely delivery of materials and services to job sites.
- Identify and implement necessary changes regarding design, contracts, or execution plans to maintain project profitability.
- Select and supervise subcontractors, tracking their performance.
- Maintain comprehensive records of project status, changes, and materials, preparing reports for various stakeholders.
- Support management in forecasting and controlling costs by reviewing financial data and utilizing management tools.
- Ensure completion and proper handling of all project paperwork including as-built documentation, purchase orders, handover documents, and commissioning sheets.
- Analyze risks and develop contingency plans, initiating corrective actions as needed to avoid disruptions.
- Ensure timely, accurate invoicing and revenue collection for projects.
- Comply with all health and safety guidelines, prioritizing safety for self and others.
- Complete timesheets, expense reports, and related paperwork promptly for accurate project cost processing.
- Adhere to company and customer technical standards across all projects.
- Maintain technical relationships with suppliers and partners to support project execution.
- Collaborate with Account Executives and Service Management to develop service level agreements and deliver exceptional client service.
- Ensure all projects undergo thorough technical reviews during design and commissioning phases.
- Travel to client sites to foster relationships and support project needs.
- Undertake additional reasonable duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of recognized Project Management certifications.
- Solid knowledge of enterprise-level access control systems for sales and design (non-technical depth), including familiarity with Lenel, S2, CCure, AMAG, ProWatch, Genetec.
- Good understanding of enterprise-level CCTV and Video Management Systems such as Milestone, Genetec, and Avigilon.
- Over 10 years of substantial experience in the electronic security sector.
- Strong expertise with enterprise-level access control and CCTV systems.
- Proven track record managing commercial and industrial projects.
- Experience leading teams and coordinating engineering personnel.
- Advanced skills in project and program management including planning, delivery, and customer interaction.
- Comprehensive knowledge of project financials, cost control, and contract management.
Work Environment
The role is based in Frankfurt with expectations to be in the office approximately 20% of the time. The remainder of working hours will be spent remotely or at client sites, including extensive travel domestically and internationally, depending on business needs.
