Job Overview
The Product Installer position involves the skilled installation of window treatment products like blinds, shades, shutters, curtains, and related hardware in both residential and commercial properties. This role demands precision, excellent manual abilities, and a customer-focused approach to deliver installations that meet high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out accurate installation of various window furnishing products including blinds, shades, shutters, drapery rods, and curtains.
- Measure installation sites precisely to ensure the perfect fit of window treatments.
- Adjust and align window treatments to ensure proper function and aesthetic appeal.
- Engage professionally with clients, providing product information, answering queries, and resolving any issues to guarantee customer satisfaction.
- Prepare installation areas by removing outdated window treatments and cleaning surfaces before installation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site by clearing debris and waste after completing installations.
- Verify that all installed products comply with company quality standards and safety regulations.
- Test the functionality of installed items and demonstrate operational and maintenance guidelines to customers.
- Complete required documentation post-installation, noting any concerns or follow-up actions needed.
- Manage inventory and supplies stored in the installation vehicle to support smooth operations.
Candidate Profile
We seek a skilled installer eager to join an established installation team and expand knowledge across a product range comprising blinds, awnings, curtains, retractable roofs, Crimsafe security screens, and shutters. Ideal candidates demonstrate a commitment to the values of quality, integrity, simplicity, and experience.
Experience and Skills
- Previous background in window furnishings installation or a related trade.
- Competence in interpreting installation manuals, diagrams, and blueprints.
- Familiarity with the use of hand and power tools.
- Physical capability to lift heavy items and stand for prolonged periods.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude towards customers.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record when operating company vehicles.
- Prior exposure to carpentry, home renovation, or similar fields is advantageous.
- Knowledge in safety protocols and best installation practices for window treatments.
Working Conditions & Additional Information
This role involves regular travel to customer locations and requires physical exertion such as lifting, bending, and standing. Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, with occasional evening or weekend work to accommodate client schedules. Having or willingness to obtain a Construction Induction Safety Certificate (White Card, Asbestos & Silica) is beneficial; support for certification will be provided.
