Junior UX / UI Designer

Overview

Radius is seeking a driven and creative Junior UX / UI Designer to join their product team in Crewe, England at their telematics headquarters. This role offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or those with some design experience to develop their skills within a collaborative environment focused on telematics products used by businesses worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in user research activities including interviews, workshops, and usability testing.
• Develop user workflows, wireframes, and information architecture.
• Design interfaces for mobile and web platforms and build prototypes using Figma.
• Contribute to evolving design systems.
• Partner with Product Managers and Software Engineers throughout the design process.
• Utilize customer insights and data to enhance user experiences.
• Participate in design reviews and assist in handing over designs to developers.

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates will showcase a user-centered, creative approach alongside solid design thinking skills demonstrated through academic projects, internships, freelance, or professional work. The role requires strong visual design capabilities and an understanding of UX/UI fundamentals.

• Proficiency in Figma or comparable design tools for wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.
• Good grasp of UX and UI design principles.
• Experience or knowledge in responsive and mobile-first design methodologies.
• Awareness of accessibility and usability best practices.
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
