Role Overview

The Fund Accountant will be responsible for executing essential fund accounting processes across a portfolio of venture capital funds. This position suits individuals who are highly detail-oriented, structured, and eager to take ownership while developing in-depth knowledge of venture capital fund operations at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily fund accounting operations such as booking transactions, handling allocations, and overseeing capital activities.
• Maintain precise general ledger records for assigned funds.
• Prepare periodic financial statements along with necessary supporting documentation.
• Support processes related to capital calls, distributions, and investor reports.
• Assist with audit preparation and tax-related work by generating clean, well-organized workpapers.
• Adhere consistently to established processes and internal controls.
• Promptly report any questions or inconsistencies to senior team members.

Candidate Profile

• 2 to 4+ years of experience in fund accounting, accounting roles, or fund administration.
• Understanding of venture capital or private equity fund structures.
• Strong attention to detail paired with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple fund deadlines reliably.
• Clear written communication skills and dependable follow-through.
• Keen interest in enhancing accounting processes using improved systems, data analytics, or automation.
• Experience supporting audits or year-end closing is advantageous but not mandatory.
