About the Role
We are seeking an External Instructional Design Specialist to play a pivotal role in enhancing the knowledge, confidence, and capabilities of AIA's external partners. Collaborating closely with the External Learning team, subject matter experts, and various business stakeholders, you will develop innovative and engaging learning solutions that align with strategic priorities and deliver impactful results. This opportunity combines creativity with expertise in adult learning to elevate AIA's digital learning experience while fostering continuous improvement and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop engaging learning programs that strengthen external partners' capabilities, boost performance, and enrich their learning experiences.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify training needs and simplify complex information into effective educational content.
- Create diverse digital learning materials, including assessments, videos, and performance aids tailored to learner and business demands.
- Drive innovation in AIA's external learning offerings by applying learner-centered methodologies and modern instructional practices.
- Assess learning effectiveness using data-driven insights to refine course content and maximize business outcomes.
- Maintain an organized learning catalog and content repository that ensures consistent quality and easy accessibility.
Required Capabilities
- Proven experience designing and developing learning solutions across digital, blended, and online formats.
- In-depth knowledge of adult learning principles, applied to craft engaging, accessible, and impactful learning experiences.
- Excellent writing skills for creating, refining, and editing instructional content across different formats.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build collaborative relationships and effectively manage stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work efficiently under shifting demands while producing high-quality deliverables.
- Familiarity with tools like Adobe Captivate, learning management systems, or knowledge of AIA’s products and systems is desirable.
