About the Role

This role is based at Banana Island Resort Doha By Anantara, part of Minor Hotels, a global hotel owner and operator with a portfolio exceeding 530 properties worldwide. The Door Person plays a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere by greeting and assisting residents, guests, and visitors at the main entrance of a residential or commercial building. The position requires upholding high standards of customer service, ensuring security protocols are adhered to, and maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly receive and attend to residents, guests, and visitors with courtesy and professionalism.
• Assist by opening doors, handling packages, luggage, and deliveries as necessary.
• Oversee ingress and egress at the building entrance to maintain security and control access.
• Maintain detailed logs for visitors, deliveries, and maintenance or service staff.
• Coordinate communication with concierge, security team, or building management regarding resident requests or unusual occurrences.
• Provide assistance with transportation arrangements like taxis or ride shares and offer directions upon request.
• Address basic questions and supply information about the building's amenities and services.
• Ensure the lobby and entrance area are tidy, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
• React promptly to emergencies or incidents, following established reporting protocols.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Completion of high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Experience in customer service, hospitality, or security is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal capabilities.
• Maintains a professional look and demeanor.
• Ability to stay alert, polite, and composed under pressure.
• Physically capable of standing for long durations and lifting light objects when required.
