Role Overview

The Demand Planning Professional will be responsible for overseeing production scheduling and planning, procurement, inventory management, and supplier relations to ensure optimal resource allocation and timely delivery aligned with customer demands.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize SAP skills such as purchase order creation, stock requirement review, and MRP monitoring to support production and procurement.
  • Plan and monitor production schedules ensuring timelines are met against customer orders.
  • Collaborate with domestic and international suppliers and subcontractors for procurement activities, emphasizing cost and freight efficiency for Low Voltage Switchgear components.
  • Communicate with overseas customers regularly to understand and meet their expectations.
  • Support inventory control to prevent shortages or excess stock.
  • Track production metrics, analyze performance data, and maintain reports on KPIs and management information systems.
  • Identify causes of delays and adjust production plans to maintain deadlines.
  • Maintain strong supplier and transporter relationships, ensuring quality service from order placement through shipment delivery.
  • Ensure timely clearance of web cycles for on-time supplier payments.
  • Complete regular forecasts and planning covering turnover, production, inventories, capital expenditures, and employee capacity.
  • Analyze KPIs such as inventory turnover and delivery metrics, diagnose deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop supplier forecasts and coordinate logistical processes to optimize inventories and supply levels.
  • Drive process improvements by analyzing logistical performance indicators including cycle times and first pass yield.
  • Engage and collaborate with all stakeholders involved in production and supply chain processes.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech) or any relevant discipline.
  • Between 3 to 8 years of experience in operational procurement and production planning.
  • Hands-on expertise with SAP PP and MM modules.
