Overview
Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Services is responsible for the global design, planning, delivery, and management of AWS data centers that support cloud operations worldwide. This team maintains all critical IT infrastructure including servers, storage, networking, and power and cooling systems to ensure continuous availability and innovation for customers. You will join a multidisciplinary team comprising software, hardware, network engineers, supply chain and security specialists, and operations managers dedicated to excellence in safety, security, and efficiency.
Role Description
We seek experienced Server and Network Technicians passionate about technology to support and upgrade AWS data centers. Your role involves installing and troubleshooting hardware and network components integral to AWS cloud services, collaborating closely with engineering and logistics teams to maintain seamless daily operations. The work environment is dynamic and presents diverse technical challenges daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure racks of servers according to internal service level agreements (SLAs).
- Identify and resolve issues affecting servers, storage devices, and network hardware, including physical replacement of parts.
- Manage and remediate power-related issues within racks; actively engage in data center power and cooling events.
- Participate in rotational shift work comprising 4 days on and 4 days off, including night shifts.
- Perform physical lifting and rack mounting of equipment using designated lifting gear.
- Travel between data centers using a personal vehicle and valid driver’s license as required.

Minimum Qualifications
- Over two years of experience troubleshooting and repairing computer hardware.
- At least one year of experience in computer networking.
- High school diploma or equivalent certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven ability to effectively manage customer interactions during issue resolution and excel under pressure.
