About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager to join our team in the Northern Territory. This position plays a pivotal role in maintaining the vibrancy and popularity of our venues among locals.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with local patrons to become an integral part of the community.
- Assist the Publican in ensuring smooth, safe, and enjoyable operations of the pub.
- Develop leadership skills by managing a team of hospitality professionals and learning Publican responsibilities.
- Proactively resolve issues before they escalate.
- Maintain high energy levels, excellent service standards, and a welcoming atmosphere during every shift.
Essential Requirements
- This role requires physical involvement including manual handling such as moving stock, kegs, and deliveries; applicants must be capable of performing these tasks safely and efficiently.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in bars, bistros, or gaming rooms, including supervisory roles preferred.
- A desire to advance your management skills and take on greater leadership responsibilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills, confidence, and pride to represent the venue in the absence of senior management.
- Must possess current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Responsible Service of Gaming (RSG)/Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG) certificates as mandated by the state.
