About Raffles Sentosa Singapore
Situated atop a clifftop on Sentosa Island, Raffles Sentosa Singapore is an all-villa sanctuary enveloped by tropical gardens and scenic views of the South China Sea. This exclusive resort offers 62 private pool villas beginning at 230 square meters, designed for extended stays. The property includes five dining venues, a spa providing advanced wellness treatments, and a grand ballroom, all complemented by signature services such as the renowned Raffles Butlers and sustainably crafted Sentosa Sling.
Role Summary
Reporting to the Director of Housekeeping, the Assistant Executive Housekeeper will oversee and guide the housekeeping team, collaborating extensively with other operational departments to guarantee a flawless and enjoyable guest experience throughout their stay.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect guest rooms and public spaces to maintain cleanliness and repair standards.
- Plan staffing needs based on occupancy forecasts, including daily shifts and overtime.
- Assign tasks to housekeeping staff and coordinate with other departments for seamless operations.
- Work closely with Front Office regarding room forecasts to ensure adequate manpower allocation.
- Organize deep cleaning initiatives during low occupancy periods.
- Oversee inventory management of housekeeping materials such as linens, uniforms, and cleaning supplies.
- Assist with procurement of necessary housekeeping goods to sustain operational demands.
- Coordinate effectively with external service providers including laundry, pest control, landscaping, and sanitation teams.
- Take responsibility for resolving operational challenges promptly while ensuring inter-team communication.
- Respond swiftly to guest feedback and resolve issues to meet Raffles’ quality standards.
- Ensure supply areas and workstations are well-maintained and stocked.
- Manage, train, and motivate the housekeeping staff including performance reviews and on-the-job coaching.
- Prepare efficient duty rosters and conduct daily briefings.
- Control housekeeping expenditures aligning with hotel budget guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with brand standards, workplace safety policies, and sustainability initiatives.
- Drive improvements in guest satisfaction, audit results, and key performance indicators.
- Develop and implement departmental strategies consistent with the hotel’s objectives.
- Support the Director of Housekeeping with additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Degree or Diploma in Hospitality, Tourism or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry.
