Solutions Architect

About the Role

We are seeking enthusiastic technologists to join our Pre-Sales team, ensuring that our expansion is driven by strong technical alignment with our platform and customer needs. As a Pre-Sales Solutions Architect, you will be pivotal in helping customers design and implement robust, scalable systems utilizing our data platform. You'll collaborate with sales executives to solve business challenges using our solutions, playing a vital role in closing deals and propelling business growth. This remote position is based in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable, high-performance applications and infrastructure leveraging MongoDB for large software projects.
• Advise customers on architectural patterns and optimization strategies specific to MongoDB, articulating the business value to various stakeholders.
• Work alongside sales teams to manage account planning, prioritize opportunities, and handle technical aspects such as discovery, demonstrations, proof of value, presentations, sizing, and documentation.
• Proactively generate demand through technical initiatives, participation in industry events, and account-based marketing activities.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure success and satisfaction, fostering champions within client organizations.
• Drive innovation by suggesting improvements to MongoDB solutions and processes, and mentor other team members.
• Commit to continuous professional development and training to stay current with MongoDB products and industry trends.

Required Qualifications

• 8 to 11 years of relevant industry experience, including 5-7 years in customer-facing roles.
• At least 3 years of professional experience with modern scripting languages (e.g., Python, Node.js, SQL) or programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Java, C#).
• Experience implementing scalable and highly available distributed systems in both cloud and on-premises environments.
• Proven ability to evaluate complex application architectures and provide technology-driven enhancement guidance.
• Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills that enable the clear explanation of complex technical and business subjects to both technical and business leadership.
• Collaborative experience working with cross-functional sales teams through the entire deal cycle.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Fluency in written and spoken Mandarin is mandatory.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in developing, deploying, or supporting applications on major cloud platforms.
• Background in technical pre-sales roles.
• Familiarity with database programming and data modeling.
• Exposure to data engineering or AI/ML projects.
• Understanding of sales methodologies like MEDDPICC or Command of the Message.
• MongoDB and cloud provider certifications.

Learning Opportunities

• Deep mastery of MongoDB’s core database server and advanced services including Atlas, Atlas Stream Processing, Data Lake, Full-Text and Vector Search, and Charts.
• Expertise in hyperscaler cloud ecosystems and complementary technologies such as Apache Kafka and Kubernetes.
• Best practices in microservices architecture, DevOps, cloud security, and modern architectural design.
• Experience aiding customers on generative AI projects alongside industry-leading partners.
