Role Overview

At Soho House, the Runner is an essential contributor to the seamless coordination between kitchen and front-of-house teams, ensuring efficient service delivery. This position is key in providing members with an excellent dining experience through prompt delivery of food and beverages while maintaining service areas in a clean and organized state.

Main Duties

• Support waiting staff by delivering food and drink orders swiftly from kitchen or bar to members' tables.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness across the work and service environments.
• Manage an assigned section, providing attentive service and building relationships with members for a tailored experience.
• Keep cutlery polished and prepare any table additions such as lemon wraps, condiments, and butter portions ahead of time.
• Carry out opening and closing tasks including setting up and breaking down stations.
• Handle service equipment carefully and ensure proper storage.
• Participate in meetings with frontline and kitchen teams to stay updated on menu changes, specials, and engage in daily tastings.

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Two to three years’ experience in a similar upscale dining setting.
• Strong expertise in food and beverage service, particularly wine knowledge.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team with a practical approach.
• Displays confidence, professionalism, and polished presentation.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Proficient with POS systems and reservation software.

Compensation

The UK salary for this role is fixed at £14.50 per hour; compensation may vary internationally based on the market.
