About the Role

Micron Technology is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support daily production activities within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This position is integral in ensuring safe, stable, and efficient manufacturing operations aligned with safety and quality standards while helping meet production goals and continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Comply rigorously with safety protocols, quality control systems, and cleanroom requirements, conducting regular safety inspections to ensure a secure working environment.
Handle, process, and document products in accordance with quality standards and 6S methodology, assisting with containment and follow-up on deviations.
Carry out daily production tasks based on set production schedules, operational procedures, and work instructions, monitoring workflow, cycle times, and work-in-progress to support timely delivery and output objectives.
Ensure readiness of materials, tools, and equipment for use, promptly reporting any production irregularities such as delays or bottlenecks to appropriate engineering or supervisory personnel.
Operate multiple automated machines within a cleanroom setting to achieve shift production targets.
Assist with equipment operation including changeovers and routine checks, monitor process parameters to maintain consistent manufacturing conditions, and support troubleshooting for minor process or machinery issues, collaborating closely with engineers for more complex problems.
Accurately document any abnormalities, deviations, or observations for process traceability.
Engage actively in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity, quality, and operational efficiency, offering feedback for process and SOP enhancements.
Support data collection and elementary analysis tasks to aid engineers in performance monitoring and improvement projects.
Promote a cooperative and disciplined team environment across shifts.
Integrate AI-assisted tools and insights into daily processes to boost efficiency, quality, and effectiveness, while exercising sound judgment and following organizational and legal standards.
Help cultivate a culture of ongoing innovation by identifying, experimenting with, and sharing AI-driven improvements applicable to the workstation.

Candidate Requirements

Possession of Higher Nitec or Diploma in Engineering or Applied Sciences such as Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Chemical, Materials, or related fields.
Available to work 12-hour shifts, including night shifts.
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly in high-volume production or manufacturing environments.
Capability to follow detailed work instructions and established procedures accurately.
Proficiency in computer-based systems and applications to complete daily tasks, data entry, and report generation.
Eagerness to acquire knowledge about manufacturing tools, systems, and equipment.
Clear oral and written communication skills in English essential for issue reporting and shift handovers.
Strong attention to detail with a firm commitment to safety and quality standards.
Previous experience in semiconductor manufacturing or high-volume production preferred.
Demonstrated digital literacy including the responsible use of AI-based tools for tasks such as research, problem-solving, content creation, and operational workflows to achieve business outcomes.
