Java Backend Developer (Remote)

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer to join on a contract basis from any location. The position focuses on developing and maintaining scalable Java applications, improving system performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver effective software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy applications and services based on Java technology.
• Produce clean, efficient, and maintainable code following established best practices.
• Identify and fix technical problems in existing Java-based systems.
• Work closely with product managers and engineering teams to define and implement system requirements.
• Engage in code reviews and participate in architectural planning and discussions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Java, including Core Java and J2EE platforms.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate, or equivalent frameworks.
• Understanding of RESTful API development and microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases as well as version control tools.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and comfortable working within Agile methodologies.
