This position supports the NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA), headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, which is responsible for secure, reliable communications and IT services to NATO members and partners. NCIA’s broad range of services includes cyber security, command and control systems, satellite communications, electronic warfare, and IT infrastructure management.

Program and Role Overview

The Assistance and Advisory Service (AAS) at the NCIA focuses on delivering NATO’s information and communication technology capabilities. The workforce includes NATO International Civilians, Military personnel, and Interim Workforce Consultants (IWCs), the latter comprising about 15% of total staff. This IT Logistics Specialist role is crucial in supporting these operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain CIS Property Accounting Records within the assigned CSU Area of Responsibility.
• Handle processing, storage, and shipment of IT asset deliveries.
• Oversee requisitioning, receipt, storage, distribution, exchange, movement, and disposal of CIS assets.
• Maintain IT asset information in a centralized database and provide assets to local customers within agreed Service Level Agreements.
• Assist with annual inventory tasks, coordinating with local CIS Points of Contact and logistics teams.
• Investigate and document discrepancies in CIS equipment in line with agency policies, including hardware dismantling.
• Work closely with technicians to ensure equipment requests meet user requirements.
• Collaborate with logistics and service management teams to fulfill operational needs.
• Plan and monitor personal workload and progress.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrable experience in asset management, particularly processing IT assets and deliveries.
• Proficiency with asset management software and ITSM ticketing systems for service request processing.
• Familiarity with NATO and NCI Agency environments, international military and civilian operations, and NATO logistics regulations is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of IT hardware components.
• Vocational training at a higher level in supply, logistics, or supply chain management; alternatively, a secondary education diploma plus five years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of order and inventory management techniques using asset management databases such as Oracle.
• Experience providing administrative support including compiling, verifying, and processing documentation.

Language Requirements

Fluent in spoken and written English.

Work Location and Conditions

Position based onsite in Wesel, Germany. Some travel to other NATO sites might be necessary.

Security Clearance

Applicants must hold a valid National or NATO Secret personal security clearance.
