About the Role
PUNCH Consulting Engineers invites applications for the position of Human Resources Administrator within their HR team. This full-time role supports HR functions by ensuring precise and timely administration across the full employee lifecycle. The role suits an organised, detail-conscious individual with excellent communication abilities who is eager to advance a career in Human Resources, specialising within the engineering and construction industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain confidential and current employee and candidate records in the HR Information System (HRIS).
- Address routine HR inquiries from employees and managers promptly and professionally.
- Assist in general HR administrative duties including drafting employee correspondence, managing electronic personnel files, data entry, and policy enforcement.
- Comply fully with company policies and Irish employment legislation in all HR processes.
- Update and maintain HR reports and records as necessary.
- Support the recruitment and selection process by screening applications and coordinating communications between candidates and hiring managers.
- Organise onboarding for new hires, ensuring all required information and documentation are processed efficiently.
Qualifications & Experience
- Level 6 qualification in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
- Essential prior administrative experience; experience within HR or recruitment environments is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with capability to build effective relationships at all organizational levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Familiarity with HR management or applicant tracking systems is advantageous.
- Strong organisational abilities with attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines within a fast-paced setting.
- Proactive, flexible, and positive approach demonstrating professionalism, discretion, and dedication to superior service delivery.
Desirable Attributes
- Qualification or ongoing study towards CIPD certification.
- Experience working directly within an HR administrative function.
Additional Information
- Typical workweek is 35 hours.
- The position offers flexible hybrid work arrangements with three days onsite and two days remote, with office location options in Limerick, Dublin, or Cork.
