Position Overview
Based at Caval Ridge Mine in Mackay, Queensland, the Fleet Controller is a permanent full-time role working a 7 days on/7 days off roster, alternating between day and night shifts. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the mining fleet's deployment to exceed productivity targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispatch mining equipment and personnel in real-time to maximize resource efficiency.
- Utilize fleet monitoring tools and systems to their fullest potential.
- Prioritize tasks effectively amid competing demands.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of haul cycles and engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage short interval controls and address plan deviations effectively.
- Maintain strong communication and collaboration with mining, maintenance teams, and other stakeholders.
- Meet or surpass production and delivery goals through efficient fleet management.
- Demonstrate high computer proficiency and strong analytical problem-solving abilities.
Candidate Profile
- Experience managing large mining fleets in a control center environment.
- Committed to health and safety standards and protocols.
- Able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting, following procedures while identifying enhancement opportunities.
- Excellent multitasking, communication, and organizational skills.
- Holds a valid C Class driver’s license.
- Capable of working collaboratively within a team-oriented culture.
