About the Role
Ardelle Associates is looking for a Fact Witness Coordinator to assist the U.S. Attorneys Office in Charlotte, NC. This role involves managing and supporting fact witnesses through court appearances, pre-trial conferences, and grand jury sessions, ensuring compliance with Department of Justice policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of fact witness coordination including preparation before, presence during, and follow-up after trials.
- Directly interact with witnesses to facilitate court appearances, handling inquiries about schedules and reimbursements.
- Gather and organize necessary information and documentation to arrange travel and expenses for witnesses, including special authorizations and lodging arrangements.
- Communicate effectively with witnesses about travel, court dates, and any unique needs, escalating concerns to the Assistant U.S. Attorney when appropriate.
- Complete and submit required documents for witness approvals and reimbursements, while ensuring all files and government travel accounts reconcile accordingly.
- Collaborate with court staff, probation officers, marshals, and investigative agencies to coordinate witness logistics.
- Maintain accurate files, databases, and calendars related to active and pending witness appearances, tracking hearings and conferences.
- Compose original correspondence related to witness management utilizing legal terminology as needed without requiring legal interpretation.
- Perform various administrative duties, including word processing, data entry and retrieval, report formatting, and appointment scheduling.
Candidate Requirements
- A minimum of a high school diploma is mandatory; undergraduate education is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in word processing, managing databases, data analysis, and report preparation.
- Capable of multi-source data review and case file management.
- Ability to handle sensitive documentation accurately and maintain confidentiality.
- Must successfully pass a national background investigation and be a U.S. citizen with no felony convictions or outstanding warrants.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wage ranging from $24.00 to $29.09.
- Employment type is full-time contract.
