Role Overview

This position involves managing daily bill processing, creating purchase orders, releasing payments, conducting bank reconciliations, and passing accounting entries for fixed assets, payroll, prepaid expenses, and provisions. Coordination with different departments to ensure smooth bill processing and payments is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Generating purchase/work orders in SAP; preparing MIGO, SES, and booking expenses
Processing MIRO invoices with thorough verification of all supporting documents
Ensuring appropriate TDS deductions during bill processing
Disbursing payments to vendors as per payment schedules; preparing checks and resolving discrepancies in purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and payments
Paying employees by verifying expense claims and advances; check preparation
Performing bank reconciliations regularly
Booking prepaid and provision for expense entries
Posting accounting entries for fixed assets and payroll
Monitoring intercompany balances and providing quarterly confirmations
Scrutinizing vendor and general ledger accounts
Reconciling vendor accounts through monthly statement verification
Ensuring prompt settlement of vendor and employee advances
Maintaining historical documents via microfilming and filing
Supporting the accounting function to fulfill organizational objectives
Ensuring compliance with Internal Control for Financial Reporting
Assisting with monthly account closures and Management Information System (MIS) reports

Candidate Profile

Applicants must possess a Commerce degree and have between 4 to 6 years of relevant professional experience in accounting or finance functions.
