Role Overview
The Payroll & Compliance Lead is tasked with precise payroll processing adhering to company policies and statutory requirements, involving detailed calculations and data management to ensure employee remuneration correctness.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute payroll processing for employees regularly, ensuring accuracy and punctuality, including calculations for salaries, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and full & final settlements upon employee resignation.
- Maintain and update payroll system data meticulously for new hires, terminations, salary changes, benefit modifications, and attendance records.
- Ensure adherence to applicable legal and tax regulations during salary processing, including timely payroll tax filings and report submissions.
- Address and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly and respond professionally to employee payroll inquiries.
- Produce payroll reports for management oversight, financial planning, and audits; provide analysis on payroll statistics as needed.
- Safeguard confidentiality and organization of payroll documentation.
- Proactively assess payroll procedures to enhance accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency, implementing improvements as authorized.
Candidate Profile
- Preferably holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
- Brings 6 to 10 years of relevant payroll processing experience, with strong knowledge of payroll accounting, regulatory compliance, and tax requirements.
- Proficient with payroll management software and Microsoft Excel.
- Detail-oriented with excellent numerical accuracy and effective organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, comfortable working independently.
Work Experience
8 to 10 years in payroll or related roles.
