Role Overview
As a Digital Engagement Champion, you will be instrumental in assisting our community to develop digital confidence and independence amid an increasingly online world. Your responsibilities include facilitating digital learning, offering personalized technology assistance, promoting digital resources, equipping Library staff with enhanced digital skills, and helping overcome barriers to information access.
This part-time position requires 32 hours per week onsite, offering diverse daily tasks. You will collaborate with team members to implement digital inclusion efforts, foster lifelong learning, and maintain a welcoming library space that empowers all visitors to learn, connect, and flourish.

You are a personable individual who delights in helping others succeed and embraces new challenges. You possess excellent customer service abilities alongside solid digital literacy and a practical, solution-oriented mindset.
Qualifications and Experience
- Exceptional customer service skills paired with a sincere enthusiasm for aiding individuals from varied backgrounds.
- Comfort with digital technology and a fast learner of new tools, platforms, and systems.
- Patience and empathy tailored to supporting diverse learners.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and initiative to devise pragmatic solutions when faced with obstacles.
- Experience in delivering educational sessions, customer assistance, or enabling skill and confidence building.
- A passion for fostering community wellbeing, digital inclusion, and ongoing education.
While backgrounds in libraries, education, community services, customer service, or technical support are advantageous, we most value curiosity, motivation, tech-savviness, and dedication to community impact.
