Credit Analyst

Role Overview

As a Credit Analyst based in Al Ain, UAE, you will provide comprehensive support to branches and Direct Sales Units (DSUs) by reviewing and processing finance applications efficiently in line with approved policies. This position is exclusively available to UAE Nationals.

Primary Responsibilities

• Examine credit applications meticulously for completeness and punctuality, identifying any discrepancies for correction.
• Prepare accurate, error-free credit documentation ensuring adherence to standards.
• Apply de-duplication processes carefully and maintain vigilance to avoid errors.
• Adhere to agreed turnaround times (TAT) consistently.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and maintain satisfactory risk ratings.
• Analyze bank statements to evaluate authenticity, continuity, business turnover, cheque returns, average balances, and detect potential fabrication.
• Review applicants' financial statements and provide insightful analysis where necessary.
• Verify customer status using de-duplication and Commercial Bank of Dubai Risk bureau checks.
• Meet daily performance targets set by management while minimizing errors, as measured by performance scorecards.
• Escalate applications requiring higher delegated authority, furnishing detailed analysis and recommendations to assist decision-making.
• Maintain comprehensive and updated knowledge of the bank’s products, policies, and procedures.
• Proactively suggest and recommend system improvements and ensure all procedures and policies comply with organizational standards.
• Foster a positive attitude and strong team spirit within the work environment.
• Undertake additional duties assigned by ADIB management as needed.

Expected Outcomes

• Support achievement of monthly budgets and targets while maintaining the highest quality credit portfolio.
• Assist business units in acquiring customers within acceptable parameters without breaching Central Bank regulations.
• Contribute positively to the daily underwriting workflow.
• Enhance communication channels with branches and DSUs, treating them as internal customers.
• Provide constructive feedback on proposed finance applications.
• Ensure strict compliance with policies and operational controls per ADIB standards in daily activities.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Strong credit analysis skills with practical knowledge of banking finance and credit processes.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in banking, preferably within finance and credit sectors.
• In-depth understanding of ADIB’s retail banking credit products and services.
• Broad familiarity with ADIB’s retail credit and operational policies and procedures.
• Good awareness of UAE banking regulations, practices, and associated risks.
• Effective communication capabilities.
• Proficient computer skills.
