Role Overview
The Relationship Manager is tasked with enhancing connections with high-value clients while managing operational duties and propelling growth in liabilities, foreign exchange, and fees to meet or surpass annual financial targets. A key responsibility is to identify cross-selling opportunities that drive product revenue, alongside ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations and UAE Central Bank rules to mitigate risks.
Primary Responsibilities
- Achieve both financial and non-financial goals assigned by the organization.
- Effectively manage and expand the client portfolio, focusing on increasing liabilities, FX transactions, fees, and trade activities, ensuring growth compared to the prior year.
- Develop and implement strategies aimed at maximizing portfolio growth while minimizing associated risks through regular SWOT analysis.
- Target high-transacting and high-balance companies for onboarding to enhance portfolio value.
- Conduct consistent client visits and calls to maintain relationships and unearth new business prospects.
- Provide detailed reports on portfolio performance, challenges, and opportunities to senior management, including actionable feedback.
- Identify and nurture new relationships by networking and prospecting potential clients.
- Carry out precise financial assessments to align services with clients' needs and risk profiles.
- Maintain professional and ethical conduct in engagements with clients and colleagues.
Client Relationship and Service Excellence
- Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve client complaints promptly, focusing primarily on elite clients.
- Engage proactively with clients via multiple communication channels to foster satisfaction and loyalty.
- Strengthen business banking relationships, emphasizing financial and service excellence within the elite segment.
Risk and Compliance Monitoring
- Maintain vigilance regarding risk factors including AML compliance and regulatory adherence.
- Provide timely information and documentation to compliance authorities.
- Monitor client transactions to detect potential risks or suspicious activities.
- Perform continual due diligence and update client records and risk ratings accurately and regularly.
Professional Growth and Adaptability
- Keep abreast of developments in banking products, services, and industry trends.
- Participate in training to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Exhibit flexibility to work across various locations and adapt to organizational changes.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and partners to achieve common goals.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in banking or financial services, specifically in relationship management and portfolio expansion.
- Strong expertise in business banking, trade products, and foreign exchange transactions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven abilities in resolving customer complaints and delivering high-quality service.
- Capacity to collaborate across teams and adapt to dynamic work environments.
