Role Overview
As a CAD Technician, you will be essential in preparing accurate, production-ready designs for custom closet projects, ensuring smooth transitions from concept through installation. You will collaborate closely with design, manufacturing, and installation teams to maintain quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Export and organize design files suitable for production platforms such as ClosetPro and CSV formats.
- Confirm precise measurements, wall dimensions, and project specifications.
- Review finalized design approvals to verify readiness for manufacturing and installation.
- Manage coordination of special-order materials and contribute to production scheduling.
- Provide technical assistance and resolve installation inquiries for field teams.
- Conduct site visits to customers’ homes when necessary to validate measurements or address project matters.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of one year experience in CAD drafting or technical drawings.
- High attention to detail paired with strong organizational capabilities.
- Capacity to juggle multiple assignments within a fast-paced setting.
- Comfortable learning new software tools with a solid technical understanding.
- Effective communicator and cooperative team player.
- Ability to work autonomously while engaging with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Backgrounds
- Experience related to custom closet systems or cabinetry design.
- Work history in residential remodeling or home improvement sectors.
- Technical design experience involving CAD software.
- Familiarity with installation processes, production planning, or project coordination.
- Prior exposure to Closet Factory or similar organizations is advantageous.
- Ideal candidates possess practical installation or construction experience combined with skills in technical problem-solving, CAD drafting, and project management.
