Accountabilities
- Own and refine the YouTube content strategy across flagship and affinity channels.
- Shape creative direction for video packaging and programming, including clips and Shorts.
- Improve content presentation by testing and optimizing titles, thumbnails, and format choices.
- Review performance metrics and turn findings into clear, actionable recommendations for growth.
- Track audience behavior, new trends, and emerging content opportunities to boost engagement.
- Work with internal teams and external agencies to curate and release content with strong impact.
- Create experimentation plans to test cadence, thumbnails, titles, and format variations.
- Keep content plans aligned with marketing goals, franchise direction, and global initiatives.
- Support monetization objectives by making sure strategy aligns with platform rules and revenue priorities.
Experience and requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in content strategy, social media, or YouTube-related roles.
- Background handling high-volume publishing schedules or content workflows.
- Strong grasp of YouTube algorithms, growth tactics, and optimization methods.
- Ability to interpret analytics and convert data into practical content guidance.
- Experience collaborating with agencies, vendors, or cross-functional teams.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to give concise creative feedback.
- Strong awareness of internet culture, fandom communities, and digital trends.
- Genuine interest in anime, along with familiarity with anime audiences and storytelling styles.
- Experience with tools such as YouTube Studio or Tubular is preferred.
- Knowledge of Shorts, vertical video, or multi-channel strategies is an advantage.
