Transformation Design & Delivery Manager

About the Role

Join PwC New Zealand as a Manager in our Transformation Design & Delivery team located in Wellington. This role suits experienced individuals who have actively participated in enterprise transformation or large-scale delivery programs from initial planning through execution and completion.

In this position, you will guide complex change initiatives within New Zealand’s significant transformation projects by structuring delivery, fostering trusted executive partnerships, and helping evolve PwC’s transformation services.

You will lead key workstreams, facilitate practical solutions to complex challenges, and support teams to deliver impactful, lasting results benefiting clients, colleagues, and the broader marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead transformation workstreams delivering solutions that address complex issues and create decisive client value.
• Collaborate closely with clients to comprehend challenges, formulate practical strategies, and produce tangible outcomes while maintaining strong relationships.
• Take full ownership of delivery within transformation programs from planning phases to execution.
• Mentor and support junior staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
• Drive continuous improvement of PwC’s transformation methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
• Efficiently plan and coordinate resources ensuring adaptability to shifting priorities.
• Proactively identify and escalate risks to keep delivery on course.
• Maintain clear, consistent stakeholder communication with accurate progress updates.
• Oversee implementation and service transitions to ensure solutions are embedded sustainably.
• Utilize PwC’s coaching and professional development network to enhance personal growth while gaining diverse transformation experience.

Required Skills and Experience

• Over six years’ experience contributing to and leading transformation, change, or project-based initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder engagement capabilities including building trust and influencing senior and executive levels.
• Familiarity with structured delivery frameworks such as Agile, PRINCE2, or PMI/PMBOK, with the ability to apply them pragmatically.
• Experience working with vendors and cross-functional teams to manage complexity and align various groups to shared goals.
• Effective communication skills capable of translating complex concepts into actionable plans.
• Highly organized, proactive, capable of prioritizing tasks, working independently, and meeting deadlines in dynamic environments.
