Role overview
Emirates Flight Training is a progressive training division that uses Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) and is one of the few operators worldwide to fully apply Evidence-Based Training (EBT). The environment is built around continuous upskilling, consistent standards, and modern training practices.
As Emirates Airline continues to expand, the Flight Training team is looking for experienced aviation professionals for a non-flying, ground-based Synthetic Flight Instructor (SFI) position. The role involves simulator-based instruction and classroom delivery in accordance with GCAA requirements and Emirates standards.
Key duties
- Deliver type rating, recurrent, recency, and ground school training through FSTD sessions, aligned with company procedures.
- Prepare, complete, and file detailed assessment documents and reports using the electronic reporting platform.
- Identify pilots who need extra support and advise on remedial or additional training.
- Share observations with training leadership to help improve training quality, safety, and instructional effectiveness.
- Support special projects, course creation, and other training development activities as required.
Qualifications
- Current or previously held CPL, MPL, or ATPL licence.
- At least 12 months of active experience as an Instructor or Examiner.
- Minimum 1,500 hours of flight time as a pilot on a multi-pilot aeroplane.
- Strong communication and leadership capabilities.
Compensation and benefits
The annual base pay can reach AED 376,320 (USD 102,460). The package also includes an annual transport allowance of AED 24,180 (USD 6,580), company accommodation with utilities, and education support of AED 52,250 (USD 14,220) for primary schooling and AED 79,750 (USD 21,715) for secondary schooling for up to 3 children.
