Role Summary
The Strategic Finance Analytics Manager role is a newly established position charged with creating and steering the financial modeling and analytics capabilities central to PointClickCare’s strategic finance department. This role designs models, tools, and decision frameworks that equip leadership to drive profitability, optimize commercial strategies, and allocate resources precisely. The work directly supports executive leadership, the board of directors, and investors. Situated at the crossroads of finance, strategy, and go-to-market activities, the initial focus is on pricing and monetization analytics, while the broader scope involves developing scalable analytical solutions across strategic finance areas identified by the business. A key characteristic of this position is the practical use of AI and machine learning techniques to modernize and expedite modeling, scenario planning, and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial and profitability models to assess revenue and margin outcomes of strategic business decisions, starting with pricing and commercial strategy and expanding into other domains within strategic finance.
- Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses on packaging options, pricing adjustments, go-to-market strategies, and investment decisions, using metrics such as Net Revenue Retention (NRR), Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), and contribution margin.
- Integrate AI and machine learning technologies such as large language models and predictive analytics to accelerate and enhance the sophistication of modeling, scenario generation, and reporting tools. Create scalable, self-service analytics platforms that provide consistent, decision-ready information to finance, pricing, sales operations, and business unit managers.
- Analyze the financial implications of pricing changes across customer segments and geographic markets, monitoring key performance indicators like discount compliance, revenue realization, and contribution margin against targets.
- Generate regular profitability and commercial performance reports for executive leadership and go-to-market teams, including frameworks that evaluate strategic initiatives' effectiveness and monetization outcomes.
- Collaborate with FP&A, Sales Operations, Revenue Assurance, and Finance Operations to embed pricing and profitability analytics into forecasting, planning, and remediation of pricing-related revenue risks.
- Serve as the primary analytical advisor to pricing, sales enablement, and business unit leaders, translating complex analyses into clear and actionable business recommendations presented in formats suitable for senior leadership, board members, and investors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Between 5 to 7 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or strategic finance roles within SaaS or technology companies.
- Proven proficiency in financial modeling and scenario analysis, with a strong history of developing revenue, profitability, or pricing models and their application in supporting decision-making.
- Hands-on experience applying AI and machine learning tools, including large language models and predictive analytics, to streamline and modernize financial modeling and reporting processes.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in pricing or monetization analytics is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with business intelligence software, especially Power BI, and capable of creating executive-level data visualizations.
- Knowledge of Salesforce platforms, including Revenue Cloud Advanced.
