Storekeeper

Role Overview

The Storekeeper is responsible for receiving and storing all goods and supports the Provision Master by managing and monitoring stock inventory and provisions effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the safekeeping and supervision of all supply items.
• Maintain optimal par levels for every inventory item to avoid exhaustion or zero stock situations.
• Order items approaching expiration well in advance to guarantee timely replenishments.
• Strictly adhere to food safety protocols and quality standards across all processes.
• Organize and lead the loading team efficiently.
• Inspect the integrity of loaded materials and verify that the types and quantities match the product technical data sheet precisely.
• Prepare and submit comprehensive stock inventory reports to management.
• Comply with the company’s and Marine reserve’s environmental policies, rules, and regulations.

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of standard practices in stockroom or warehouse management.
• Basic understanding of food safety principles.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy items.
• Competent in stock organization, counting, and inventory preparation.
• Strong hospitality orientation with a focus on customer service.
• Capability to work under warm environmental conditions.
• Proficient in computer-based inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English.

Mandatory Certifications and Documents

• Valid passport, visas, and any certificates as required for travel from the port of origin to destination.
• Food Safety/HACCP certification is compulsory.
