Signage Fabrication and Installation Technician

Job Location and Employment Details

This full-time position is based in Doha, Qatar, requiring on-site presence. The role demands 4 to 5 years of experience, with preference given to candidates who have previously worked in the GCC region. English proficiency is necessary for reading, writing, and basic communication.

Core Responsibilities

• Construct, assemble, and install a variety of signage for both indoor and outdoor environments.
• Interpret technical drawings, layouts, and installation plans to guarantee precise outcomes.
• Accurately measure, cut, assemble, and apply finishes to signage parts using standard industry tools and machinery.
• Prepare surfaces for vinyl application, ensuring precise alignment and a polished finish.
• Apply self-adhesive vinyl graphics on substrates such as acrylic, glass, metal, composite panels, and vehicles.
• Mount, laminate, trim, and complete graphic installations in alignment with production criteria.
• Install illuminated signs, 3D channel letters, lightboxes, directional signs, and branding elements used commercially.
• Carry out ACP cladding installation and associated finishing tasks as necessary.
• Adhere to workplace safety protocols while installing signage on client sites.
• Conduct quality inspections of completed installations to verify accuracy and compliance with project standards.
• Collaborate efficiently with production and installation teams to achieve timely project completion.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and workspace cleanliness and organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Four to five years’ experience specifically in signage fabrication and installation.
• Experience working on commercial, retail, or advertising signage projects.
• Skilled in vinyl application, graphic finishing, and signage assembly.
• Practical experience installing illuminated signs, channel letters, lightboxes, and ACP cladding.
• Capability to read and interpret technical and installation drawings.
• Knowledgeable in using workshop tools, fabricating equipment, and installation methods.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Able to work both autonomously and collaboratively within teams.
• Basic proficiency in English communication.
• Experience in the GCC region is advantageous but not mandatory.
