Position Overview
The Northern Saskatchewan Indigenous Teacher Education Program (NSITEP) at the Gabriel Dumont Institute is seeking a sessional instructor for the course ECE 200 - Teaching and Learning in Pre-K to 5, based in La Ronge, Saskatchewan. This role involves delivering education that examines child development and early childhood education frameworks from western and cross-cultural viewpoints, incorporating anti-bias principles relevant to early childhood settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, prepare, and deliver course materials effectively to students.
- Manage classroom dynamics to foster an optimal learning environment.
- Assess student work and provide consistent and constructive feedback.
- Integrate culturally responsive teaching approaches within the course delivery.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a Master of Education degree or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
- Approval by the University of Regina is required.
- Experience in elementary education is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and experience working with Indigenous student communities are highly valued.

- Remuneration follows the University of Regina’s sessional lecturer pay scale.
- The position is located in La Ronge, Saskatchewan, requiring in-person presence.
