Senior Property Assessor

Overview

We are inviting expressions of interest from seasoned property assessors to join our expanding talent pool for potential future opportunities. This role involves assessing property claims while engaging in hybrid work across multiple locations.

About the Role

• Deliver prompt and efficient property claim decisions that consistently meet or surpass customer expectations throughout the claim lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with claimants, repair professionals, and other internal and external parties to facilitate swift decision-making and manage claim processes.
• Evaluate claim indemnity and liability, assess costs, and verify building and remediation scopes.
• Examine remediation and make safe claims, ensuring cost accuracy.
• Analyze damage reports, including geotechnical and structural engineering evaluations.
• Identify defects and noncompliance in repairs according to Australian Standards and the National Construction Code.

Candidate Profile

• Possession of Building Trade qualifications and/or Loss Assessor certification from ANZIIF.
• Proven extensive experience in property assessment and delivering excellent customer service.
• In-depth technical insight into insurance principles and loss assessment.
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple demands effectively.
• Proficiency with relevant systems, software, databases, reporting platforms, and communication tools.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
