Senior Associate (Migrant Domestic Workers Interview)

Role Overview

The Senior Associate will engage with migrant domestic workers (MDWs), conducting interviews in their native languages or with interpreter assistance to assess their employment and welfare conditions. This position involves providing guidance on employment matters, reporting violations to authorities, and managing administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews with MDWs face-to-face or through other channels, in native or interpreted languages, to understand their work and welfare status.
• Offer support and advice on employment-related concerns to both MDWs and their employers.
• Report any breaches of employment or welfare standards to the appropriate authorities promptly.
• Document interview responses accurately using a specialized interview platform and prepare related reports.
• Handle general office duties including phone handling, scheduling appointments, contacting employers regarding missed interviews, preparing correspondence, entering data in spreadsheets, photocopying, and organizing documents.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the organisation, supervisor, or centre manager.

Candidate Requirements

• Completion of GCE O/A Level, Diploma in any discipline, or equivalent qualifications.
• At least two years of relevant experience in receptionist, office administration, or customer service roles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential.
• Ability to communicate in common MDW native languages such as Burmese, Tagalog, Hindi, or Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and a service-oriented approach, given the frontline nature of the position.
