Job description
Overview
This role primarily focuses on comprehensive financial accounting and dealership management for Brilliant Motor Agency located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The position demands expertise in maintaining accurate accounting records, managing various financial aspects related to dealership operations, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
Key Duties
- Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts following standard accounting principles.
- Handle dealership accounting including vehicle purchase verifications, sales accounting, and incentive claim processing with TVS Motor Company.
- Manage inventory accounting by monitoring valuations, reconciling stock records, and addressing obsolete or damaged inventory.
- Oversee accounts receivable activities including reconciliation, follow-ups on collections, and credit control.
- Manage accounts payable by verifying supplier invoices, processing payments, and ensuring timely settlements.
- Conduct banking and treasury functions, including bank reconciliations, cash flow management, and loan account monitoring.
- Prepare and file GST returns, reconcile tax data, and comply with taxation obligations such as TDS and other statutory deductions.
- Administer monthly payroll processes covering attendance verification, incentive calculations, and statutory compliance.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant statutory laws and company policies including GST, Income Tax, Labour Laws, PF, ESI, and more.
- Generate detailed financial reports including MIS, cash flow statements, profitability analysis, and budget reports.
- Prepare and monitor budgets, analyze cost variances, and provide management support for financial planning and decision-making.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial processes and prevent irregularities.
- Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors, prepare audit schedules, and implement audit recommendations.
- Maintain and support the Dealership Management System (DMS) ensuring smooth financial data integration and reporting.
- Provide financial insights to management aiding in expansion planning and operational performance analysis.
