Role Overview
We are currently accepting applications for an experienced Robotics Product Specialist to support orthopaedic surgical teams in Australia. This temporary fixed-term position spans 12 months and focuses on enhancing patient outcomes through advanced robotic technology in joint replacement surgeries, primarily using Stryker’s Mako system.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary expert in theatre for Mako-assisted hip and knee procedures, delivering both clinical and technical advice to surgeons and operating room staff.
- Work collaboratively with surgical teams to maximize the effective use of the Mako robotic platform during operations.
- Perform detailed pre-operative CT-based planning to prepare for surgical cases.
- Keep up-to-date with developments in orthopaedic surgical methods, anatomy, and robotic systems.
- Provide continuous training and clinical support to hospital personnel involved in these procedures.
Candidate Profile
- Applicants should possess a robust clinical background coupled with enthusiasm for surgical innovations.
- Suitable professional backgrounds include orthopaedic clinical support, biomedical engineering/science, medical devices, operating theatre nursing, physiotherapy, allied health, or paramedicine.
