Description de l'emploi
Overview
Wurth Ireland Ltd is hiring a highly organised, proactive professional to join its Operations Team in Limerick. The company is looking for someone with strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in improving policies and working practices that support quality assurance, safety, and sustainability.
This position sits at the centre of the business’s compliance and operational control efforts. It offers a fast-moving environment where you will help the company stay aligned with legal, regulatory, ethical, and operational obligations while supporting its continued market leadership.
Why this role matters
The role supports the Wurth Group Code of Compliance, which is guided by principles such as acting with integrity, following laws and internal rules, treating others with respect, protecting human dignity and human rights, using company property responsibly, maintaining workplace safety, and safeguarding the environment. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to help make these principles part of everyday operations across the organisation.
Key responsibilities
You will play a key part in maintaining compliance standards across Health and Safety, Information Technology, Quality Management, Environmental and Sustainability Management, and Facilities Management. The role also involves coordinating Wurth Ireland’s external facilities and health and safety contractors to ensure services, inspections, maintenance work, and corrective actions are completed on time and to the required standard.
In addition, you will identify and manage compliance risks, develop and maintain policies and procedures, carry out audits, support departments with compliance and facilities matters, prepare reports for senior leaders, and help the business respond effectively to regulatory changes, incidents, and crisis situations.
Role duties
- Spot, evaluate, and manage compliance risks across the organisation, seeking advice from the Wurth Group or external experts when needed.
- Develop, update, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and supporting documentation.
- Run audits covering areas such as supplier conduct, anti-corruption, competition law, data protection, health and safety, environmental controls, and facilities-related requirements.
- Plan and coordinate external facilities management and health and safety contractors, track deliverables, follow up on actions, and keep records up to date.
- Serve as the main contact for facilities and health and safety providers, escalating safety, performance, or compliance issues where required.
- Travel nationwide to carry out assessments at branch locations and, where needed, with the mobile workforce.
- Work with external auditors, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Advise and support Heads of Department and employees on compliance, health and safety, and facilities matters.
- Prepare and present reports on compliance, risk, facilities, and health and safety for senior management.
- Review regulatory changes, assess their impact on the business, and support implementation by the relevant teams.
- Assist in designing and rolling out risk controls, corrective actions, and improvement plans.
- Support the management of crisis events, compliance breaches, health and safety incidents, and major facilities issues.
- Stay informed about internal standards, regulatory updates, and business priorities.
Skills and experience
A third-level qualification in Business Studies, Business Administration, Compliance, Health and Safety, Facilities Management, Risk Management, or a related field is required. The company would also prefer at least three years of relevant professional experience.
Strong commercial awareness, excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to interpret regulations and standards are important. You should also be able to propose practical solutions, produce clear reports, manage projects, and work effectively with contractors and service providers.
Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the confidence to build relationships and influence stakeholders across the business. High integrity, accountability, and professional ethics are also key to success in this role.
Additional requirements
A full driving licence is essential, along with a willingness to travel nationwide.
Development
Wurth Ireland supports ongoing professional development, and the successful candidate may have the chance to pursue further relevant study, including programmes offered by the Association of Compliance Officers in Ireland.
Compensation and location
The salary range for this role is €37,000 to €42,000, depending on experience.
The job is based at the Head Office in Limerick, County Limerick, Ireland. Remote working is available for up to two days per week.
