Recreation Attendant

Role Overview

As a Recreation Attendant at Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah, you will help create a welcoming and enjoyable guest experience across the resort’s leisure areas. The role focuses on day-to-day recreation support, guest interaction, safety awareness, and maintaining a clean and well-organized pool and beach environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a courteous, professional, and approachable way to create a strong first impression.
• Provide support with towels, sunbeds, umbrellas, and recreational equipment.
• Handle guest requests quickly, look ahead to guest needs where possible, and resolve concerns with tact and efficiency.
• Keep poolside and beach areas presentable by cleaning and maintaining furniture, showers, cabanas, and nearby spaces.
• Track towel usage by collecting soiled towels, replenishing fresh stock, and watching inventory to reduce losses.
• Observe pool and facility activity, identify possible safety risks, and report or address concerns immediately.
• Apply hotel health and safety rules, uphold property standards, and enforce facility guidelines when needed.
• Coordinate smoothly with other departments to support efficient operations and a strong team atmosphere.

Qualifications and Skills

• Prior exposure to recreation or leisure operations is preferred.
• Intermediate-level English communication skills are required.
• Strong interpersonal and guest-handling abilities are important.
• Familiarity with Forbes service standards is an advantage.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• High attention to detail and a strong focus on safety are essential.
• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods is necessary.
